• Scientific collaborator since February 2011 with the Department of Geography and Regional Research, University of Vienna, Austria: project "Lives on the Move: Vakhtoviki in North-Western Siberia" under the project leader Prof. Dr. Heinz Fassmann; funded by the Austrian Science Fund (FWF) [P22066].
• Research Areas: Circumpolar Regions, spatial and mobility research, urban development, community viability, Soviet and post-Soviet northern development, policy analysis.
• PhD research "Developing and governing community viability: Russian northern cities between diversification and decline".
• Member of the Association of Polar Early Career Scientists (APECS)
